Welcome to the website of
(Croxton Parish,
near Thetford, Norfolk,
________________________________
The original structure of the church was
built about 1280, and there are indications that it stands on a site where there
has been Christian worship for more than a thousand years. In the 21st century it can be said that every
parishioner’s cup runneth over – but – there are only about 14 regular
worshippers!
Perhaps another 50 to 60 attend special
services at Christmas – Easter – Harvest Festival. Total collections from the congregation each
year are very small and the church has no patron – so ……
This website was launched during February 2001 by a
layperson to spread information and, to help raise funds to maintain the fabric
of the church.
If
you would like to join in the effort or, if you have any comments to
make,
please email Denis Hogarth deh@allsaintschurchcroxton.org
There must be lots of people all over the world who can trace their
roots back to Croxton Parish. It is
hoped that they and others will be interested and make contact with this
website.
